On the morning of April 22, a 26-year-old youth died after being shot in village Nayawas Imlani. 315 bore pistol and cartridges have been recovered from the spot. Jagdish Singh, a fourth class employee of Agrasen Inter College, resident of Imlani, has been living in Elampur of Banna Devi police station area of Aligarh city for a long time. Jagdish Singh’s third son Gaurav (26) was shot on the left side of his chest at 9 am on April 22 at a plot near Pokhar in Nayawas Imlani village. Hearing the sound, the villagers along with their family members ran near and informed the police and took Gaurav to JN Medical College where he died after some time. police have performed postmortem on the corpse.
According to the deceased’s elder brother Kaushal, Gaurav’s engagement was on May 4 and marriage was on May 5. He had gone to the village with the card. While staying in the village, he was preparing for recruitment in government service. On Monday morning, some people from the same family who had a rivalry killed his brother by shooting him from behind.
Prima facie investigation has revealed that the young man was having an affair with someone. Her family had fixed her marriage somewhere else. At the time of the incident, he was talking to someone, due to which he shot himself in the stomach. A 315 bore pistol and a cartridge from the pocket of the deceased have been recovered from the spot.
